Yesterday, I was with a client of mine Ms. Shari. I was setting her 3rd Gen. Amazon Echo up in her bedroom. Once all was done, I began educating her on all the skills that " Alexa" offered in addition to showing her a few cool tips and tricks. Her face gleamed with amazement as I could tell that she had never seen anything like it before ( Shari is 81 years young). In this moment I realized that we're in a new age of technology and in my short 35 years of life there's been so much advancement. I could only wonder how Shari felt. I could tell that this was more than just a device for her, this would be somewhat of a companion as I watched her ask , " Alexa tell me a funny joke" and Alexa replying with "Why did the M&M go to school?......because it wanted to be a Smartie". Ms. Shari was tickled by this she couldn't help but to laugh out loud. While tech has it shortfalls in many peoples eyes being that it has somewhat detached us socially to things we were once forced to do without it, like calling a friend rather than just liking a pic or even visiting a old family member rather than FaceTiming them. Tech has also pushed every part of how we live in my opinion for the better. Its something that is certainly here to stay rather we want it to or not. If today, cars are driving themselves and we could control every device in our homes from a phone.....what will the world of tech look like in the next 10 years.....
